Passion

I can finally say that I have found something that I have a true passion for...Public Relations.

Growing up I wanted to be a Flyy Girl from In Living Color. I figured, if Jennifer Lopez could do it, then so could I! I spent endless hours making up dances & singing, but since I couldn't sing it didn't really work out for me. When I came down to Atlanta, I fell in love with the urban music industry. From the late nights at the studio to the endless parties I was interested, and I wanted to be part of it. Singing was out of the question & I defiantly wasn't modeling at 5'4.

When I would promote parties I got excited. The idea that the amount of people that were going to come to the event relied only on our amount of promotion we did was almost a challenge for me, and I liked it. I strived to come up with creative and innovative ways to get the most people to attend. ....After two of my ideas were stolen from me it was clear to see that I was obviously doing something right, and I didn't want to stop. It was time to step my game up, and start grinding.

Everything I know about PR I have taught myself, from learning what "new media" is to exploring the world of mobile marketing I've figured it out on my own. I have spent long nights researching how to put a press kit together, or how to get airplay on the radio. Why? Because it interests me and I want to be the best at what I do. When people see what I am doing they assume that I am at least a junior, but please dont let my age fool you. Because, I can garentee that with my extensive research & recent learning tools such as POSH MEDIA www.myspace.com/poshmedia I have what it takes.

When I think back to a year ago when I had no idea what I wanted to do, it is amazing to think that now I know EXACTLY what I want to do now, and I will do anything that I have to in order to get there.
